ICTA hiring Manager – Industry Development – Apply Now

ICTA is seeking a highly skilled Manager – Industry Development on a contract basis to lead initiatives supporting the growth of Sri Lanka’s technology industry through facilitating FDI, market development, and export promotion. This role requires strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and impactful industry interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective promotion of Sri Lanka’s country brand, attract FDIs, and assist the establishment of new technology companies.
• Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate projects to support industry competitiveness and market development.
• Manage interventions for increasing exports revenue and promote Sri Lanka as a destination for FDIs and technology investments.
• Analyze global technology trends and contribute to developing national strategies for export and FDI promotion.
• Collaborate with government bodies, private sector, professional associations, NGOs, educational and R&D institutions, and global stakeholders.
• Represent ICTA’s Industry Development Division at national and international forums and media as needed.
• Ensure timely project execution with continuous monitoring according to logical frameworks and carry out impact assessments.
• Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports, ensure internal and external communication visibility, and maintain proper financial management.
• Assist procurement planning and provide mentoring to team members while recommending capacity-building initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Development, Management Information Solutions, Business Management, or related fields from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in industry development activities.
• Experience working with government organizations, industry associations, R&D entities, private sector companies, educational institutions, NGOs, and global partners.
• Strong knowledge of current and emerging global technology trends.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to manage change and achieve performance goals.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to balance customer needs and business demands.
• Proven ability to build high performance teams and resolve conflicts by finding common ground.
• Innovative, well-organized, proactive, and result-oriented professional with high integrity and self-motivation.
