Join NDB Bank as a Chief Manager – Legal to assist in ensuring the smooth functioning of departmental and branch legal services within the SME/Branch Network segment. This role involves reviewing and analyzing title documents, sourcing and managing retained lawyers, providing timely legal advice, and conducting training on applicable policies and laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Vice President Legal in overseeing departmental and business unit functions.
  • Review title documents, conduct research, and prepare title reports.
  • Draft security and other legal documents according to policy.
  • Source, recruit, and retain Retained/Panel Lawyers for branch offices, resolving any conflicts.
  • Advise on structuring facilities, security acceptability, and negotiate with clients and parties.
  • Guide lawyers and staff on security releases and rescheduling facilities, including drafting offer letters.
  • Provide training to credit officers, managers, and lawyers, and offer legal opinions based on laws and policies.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Banking Law and Company Law.
  • Degree or professional qualifications in law (Attorney at Law & Notary Public).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen.
  • Superior communication and coordination capabilities.
  • Position level: Chief Manager.
