Join the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) as a Laboratory Analyst and contribute to setting up and operating a state-of-the-art Water and Wastewater Testing Laboratory. SLINTEC focuses on nanotechnology research and development to create innovative products and foster business growth through collaboration.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in the establishment of a water and wastewater testing laboratory, including installation and calibration of advanced testing equipment.
- Perform physical and chemical testing on water, effluent, and wastewater samples following national and international standards.
- Develop and maintain QA/QC protocols ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and service laboratory equipment for optimal performance.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- BSc Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in water/wastewater testing or environmental laboratories.
- Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as UV-Vis Spectrometry, pH and Conductivity meters, COD, BOD analysis, ICP-MS, or chromatography methods.
- Working knowledge of ISO 17025 accreditation and environmental compliance including SLS and BOI regulations.
