Bank of Ceylon, the leading banking institution in Sri Lanka with a strong islandwide and international presence, is seeking a qualified IT Project Manager on a contract basis to lead critical IT initiatives in alignment with strategic business and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end IT project execution, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, risk frameworks, and business goals.
- Delegate responsibilities and monitor team performance to deliver secure, compliant solutions.
- Define project scope, objectives, and success metrics collaboratively with senior management, business units, and regulatory stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks proactively, implementing contingency plans to minimize operational impact.
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessment, and compliance checkpoints.
- Track progress, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs meeting security and regulatory standards.
- Ensure effective communication, reporting, and post-implementation reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Estimate and secure required resources, coordinate with internal teams and external vendors adhering to procurement and compliance standards.
- Support organizational priorities through contributions to digital transformation and regulatory readiness.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field from a UGC recognized university OR MBA/MSc with project management as a subject from a UGC recognized university.
- Professional Certifications: PMP, PRINCE II, Agile, or SCRUM Certified.
- ITIL Foundation Certificate is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager or similar position in a reputable institution.
- Strong familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project Management Professional.
- Demonstrated personnel management skills.
- Age: 45 years or below as of 23.08.2025.
Terms and Conditions
- Fixed-term contract for 3 years with annual performance reviews.
- Competitive remuneration based on market rates and candidate profile.
