Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) is seeking applications from Sri Lankan citizens for the position of Project Manager on a contract basis for CPC Projects & Operational Expansions.

Service Conditions

• Contract duration: 01 year

• Salary: Rs. 235,595.00 + Cost of Living Allowance Rs. 10,000 + Rs. 5,250

Required Qualifications

• BSc Engineering Degree in a relevant field (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil) recognized by the UGC
• Postgraduate degree (Masters) in Project Management and full membership of a relevant Chartered Institute
• Minimum 13 years of managerial level experience including at least 8 years in project management within a corporation, statutory board, institution or reputed private entity

Job Description

• Develop and manage project scope, objectives, and budgets for refinery expansion stages
• Plan resource requirements and monitor progress
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, lawyers, accountants, and support staff
• Assign roles and responsibilities ensuring alignment with project goals
• Prepare work lists with engineers and conduct reviews
• Ensure compliance with permits, licences, and governmental regulations
• Adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards
• Prepare and monitor project time schedules
• Review engineering designs, drawings, plans, and technical specifications
• Coordinate legal agreements and condemnation procedures with Attorney General’s Department under CPC legal division guidance
• Calculate and verify project costs at each stage
• Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial updates to management
