NDB Bank hiring Deputy Manager Financial Crime Compliance – Apply Now

NDB Bank invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Deputy Manager within the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) pillar of the Compliance Department. This critical role focuses on designing and maintaining policies and procedural frameworks related to financial crime compliance, while also offering advisory to business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing and executing the Financial Crime Compliance policy and framework in line with laws, regulations, and circulars.
  • Stay updated with evolving financial regulations and adapt operational processes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, internal audit, business stakeholders, and regulators to review and update FCC policies and frameworks aligned with board approvals.
  • Build professional relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive task execution.
  • Advise business lines on FCC matters and enhance advisory process flows for risk-based, timely responses.
  • Coordinate embedding of AMLICFT controls into business products and services.
  • Identify risk levels through Enterprise Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and update policies accordingly.
  • Monitor relevant local regulations such as CBSL directives, FIU guidelines, and global compliance standards related to FCC and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.
  • Support governance framework maintenance, including policy updates, workflows, approval processes, and version control.
  • Promote a Financial Crime Compliance culture and escalate feedback from business lines to the Compliance Officer.
  • Respond timely to ad-hoc queries from FIU and provide regulatory advice related to updated policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance or related fields; Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in branch banking operations or financial crime compliance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills to develop effective compliance solutions.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex regulations and identify compliance risks.
  • Position is at Deputy Manager level.
