Rockland Distilleries (Pvt) Ltd, a leading beverage manufacturer in Sri Lanka established in 1924, invites applications for the position of Project Manager located in Colombo. This role is crucial for overseeing the end-to-end delivery and operational management of the company’s marketplace and fintech applications, ensuring innovation, security, and operational excellence.

Role Description

The Project Manager will lead the delivery and operational management of fintech and marketplace platforms. The role involves managing project scope, budgets, vendor relations, cloud infrastructure, security compliance, and driving continuous innovation to maintain reliable, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Governance: Define project roadmaps, manage budgets, timelines, risks, and provide progress reports.
  • Fintech & Innovation: Lead digital payment solutions, wallet functionalities, banking and partner integrations, and incorporate emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, open banking, and APIs.
  • Delivery Management: Oversee product owner, business analyst, QA, and development teams to ensure smooth deployment and alignment with business needs.
  • Operations & Cloud Management: Manage NOC, DevOps, infrastructure teams ensuring uptime, scalability, SLA compliance, and optimize costs in Azure cloud environment.
  • Security & Compliance: Collaborate with IT Security and SOC teams to implement security frameworks, monitor threats, manage incidents, and maintain compliance with PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
  • Vendor & Partner Management: Manage fintech, cloud, SOC, and support vendors including contract negotiation and SLA monitoring.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate Agile, Lean, ITIL practices, implement CI/CD automation, and enhance processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5–7 years of experience in software project management and IT operations, preferably in fintech or digital marketplaces.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, PMI, or Prince2 methodologies with excellent vendor and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Hands-on experience with fintech application delivery (payments, wallets, secure transactions) and cloud-native architectures, preferably Azure.
  • Well-versed in security and regulatory standards including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
  • Innovative mindset combined with disciplined delivery and operational focus.
