Seylan Bank, a leading progressive bank in Sri Lanka, is inviting applications for the Senior Accounts Officer – Finance position. This role is ideal for a competent professional aiming to grow within a dynamic banking environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation of Annual Financial Statements, Interim Financial Statements, and Annual Report.
- Prepare Monthly Management Accounts and regulatory reports including those required by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
- Conduct SLFRS impact assessments such as ECL computations for loans and advances, both collective and individual impairments.
- Support the development and implementation of Strategic Plans aligned with the Bank’s vision and goals.
- Prepare, implement, and administer budgets for the Bank and its business units.
- Facilitate KPI preparation and evaluation to monitor financial performance.
- Generate Business Profitability reports for management review.
- Contribute to finance-related system developments and update financial reporting policies timely.
- Prepare MIS reports for internal and external stakeholders including IRD, CBSL, auditors, and Fitch Ratings.
- Prepare relevant General Ledger transaction vouchers for centralized finance functions.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial institutions with at least 3 years in finance roles.
- Successful completion of the Corporate Level of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is an advantage.
- Excellent command of both oral and written English.
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines effectively.
