University of Colombo hiring Management Assistant – Apply Now

The University of Colombo invites applications for the post of Management Assistant on an assignment basis. This opportunity is ideal for qualified candidates between 18 to 30 years of age who possess the required educational qualifications and experience in computer applications.

Qualifications

• Pass in the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects at one sitting with credit passes in Sinhala Language/Tamil Language, English Language/English Literature, and Mathematics.
• Pass in all subjects at G.C.E. (A/L) Examination (except the Common General Paper) at one sitting. Alternatively, passing three subjects under the old syllabus at one sitting is sufficient.
• Preference given to candidates who possess:
  • An acceptable computer applications qualification of at least six months duration from a recognized institute.
  • Two years experience in using computer application packages.
• The candidate must be a Sri Lankan citizen with good character.

Age Limit

Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years old.

Remuneration

Monthly salary is Rs. 49,475/- plus Cost of Living Allowance (COL), EPF (12%), and ETF (3%) as per Commission Circular No. 02/2025.

Employment Period

The appointment is initially on a one-year contract basis, renewable for a maximum period of two years based on performance and university needs.
